  1. Thanks for the shout-out!! 🙂 I changed my site to https and realized that it was then not indexed in Google :(. I resubmitted sitemap and should have done that first thing. I read that it’s recommended to have all versions of your site url listed in your Google Webmaster Tools.

  2. Hey Crystal, of course! Good tip, I don’t recall experiencing that, but I will add it to the list of steps. In the “Setting up https for free” post I do have listed to make sure both versions of your site are in Webmaster Tool/Search Console and Analytics, so we’re good there. Question, what tool do you use for the site map? Thanks for the comment and good to hear from you!

    • I recently switched to the sitemap tool within Jetpack. I had used the one in All in One SEO and I found that on a couple of the sites I built I had trouble with the All in One SEO plugin, trouble as in white screen website – needing a new WordPress install and back up restore. (Probably someone with real “webmaster” experience could fix easier than me 😉 ). Coincidentally enough it was only on sites hosted with Go Daddy and not on Bluehost. Jetpack is easy to use and Google tested them and worked fine.

      • Wow, that is some trouble. It must be an incompatibility between GoDaddy and All in One SEO from the sounds of it, that’s crazy. Glad you got that figured out and found a better alternative. Thanks for the info Crystal!
