AmaLinks Pro Review

AmaLinks-Pro-Review

As promised, here is my full review of the new AmaLinks Pro plugin for WordPress. This is a premium plugin created by Matthew Allen and Alchemy Coder (AC).

This plugin was created from the ground up to help you bring in more Amazon affiliate income, as quickly and easily as possible.

As am Amazon affiliate myself, I can tell you they really hit it out of the park with this one!

Check out my March 9, 2020 updates below…

Key Features of AmaLinks Pro

Let’s get right into the key features…

The plugin makes it so easy to insert a Text Link, Image Link, Call to Action (CTA) link and my favorite, the product Showcase.

Here are screenshots showing the simple wizard that guides you through the quick 3 step process.

Step 1: Search for the product you want to link to and click the “Choose” button for the particular listing that you want to link to…

Step 2: Choose if you want a simple Text Link, Image Link, Call to Action (CTA) Link or the Showcase…

Step 3: Feel free to include all of the information from the listing as is, or change the image, change the listing description items and choose whether or not you want to show the actual Amazon reviews and pricing right on your web page…

You can then choose if you want to align left, right, center or no alignment. Choose whether you want your link to open in the same windows or a new window.

Check to “no-follow” or “follow” the link. And finally, whether you want the item to add to the customer’s cart (90 day cookie) or just take them to the product page (24 hour cookie).

I usually choose to not align, open in a new window, “no-follow” the link and take the customer directly to the product page.

The add-to-cart option adds the item to their Amazon cart and if they purchase that specific item any time within the next 90 days, you would get credit for the commission.

Alternatively, if you take the customer directly to the product page, you get a commission for anything the customer purchases within the next 24 hours. That is true regardless of whether they purchase the particular product you are linking to or not.

Here is what the product Showcase box looks like live, without modifying any of the items from the listing and choosing to show the Amazon product reviews and pricing details in the post…

If you click the down arrow next to the reviews, you can scroll through the reviews right there on your site.  Try it out.

AmaLinks Pro Table Builder

The AmaLinks Pro Table Builder is one of the most requested and highly anticipated features yet and I’m happy to announce it is now available!

Several members of the Niche Site Tools community have been asking for a way to create responsive Amazon product comparison tables for years.  I’m happy to report the long wait is over.

There are products out there that can help you create tables for Amazon affiliate products, but they are either insanely difficult to master or they may look decent on a desktop, but everything ends looking terrible on mobile devices.

Here is a quick example of a comparison table for Coffee Grinders that took me less than two minutes to put together.  If you’re already on a mobile device you can see what I’m referring to, if not, here is a screenshot taken from my iPhone…

The Table Builder is a real game changer and I am excited to be able to bring you these details here today!

Is the AmaLinks Pro Plugin in Compliance?

The AmaLinks Pro plugin is in full compliance with Amazon Terms of Service (TOS).

That is very important to note, because otherwise you could get your Amazon account banned, which is obviously not a good thing.

Amazon API 5 – 429 Too Many Requests Error

Amazon made some pretty big changes effective March 9th, 2020, that they were originally planning to enable Jan 23rd, but delayed things a bit.  As of March 9th, Amazon made all API requests go through their new API version 5.0.

What the heck is an API and how does this affect me?

An API is an application program interface, but basically all you need to know it that is the way that most Amazon affiliate plugins connect to Amazon.

Along with requiring all developers to utilize API version 5, Amazon has limited the number of API requests that you as an Amazon affiliate can make per month, based on the amount of sales that you bring in through the Amazon affiliate program.  Check out this link for full specifics.

What is the bottom line?

The bottom line is that many Amazon affiliates lost their ability to continue to utilize many of the popular Amazon affiliate plugins out there on March 9th, 2020, as a result of this new change from Amazon.

I’ve heard from community members on the site already, that they can no longer utilize previous plugins like EasyAzon for this specific reason.  After troubleshooting with their support team, they determined they’re getting the “429 too many requests” error.

If you’ve have had an Amazon affiliate account for a while, but you’ve had no sales specifically through the Amazon API in the last 30 days, you may be out of luck with your existing plugin.

Luckily, AmaLinks Pro provides an option to click a check box to NOT utilize the API.  Problem solved.  It is one of the only plugins that I am aware of that provides that option, which is great, because that is the one I’m using and recommend!
